Alec Esparza, Executive Director, Ozo CommUNITY PLUS has over 30 years of experience working in collaboration with K-12 schools, community-based organizations, local and state agencies and prisons in California and other states.

Esparza is a coach, mentor and motivator who relishes working with at-promise adults, youth and families to develop and strengthen life-long skills, personal success and aspirations. He offers a diverse range of cultural educational prevention and intervention strategies including small and large group facilitation; one-one-one counseling and guidance; powerful trainer-of-trainer learning and teaching approaches; wilderness adventure learning activities and is a master storyteller.

Alec demonstrates a kind, caring and straightforward demeanor that genuinely makes a positive connection with participants and colleagues. He takes pride in his ability to coach participants to feel more capable, significant, and empowered to move beyond surviving in the world that they touch, to thriving.

Mr. Esparza has delivered keynote speaking engagements at many local, state and national conferences and conventions, including the California Association Bilingual Education (CABE) Conference; California Head Start State Conference; California Association Peer Programs, High/Middle School State Conference; and the Orange County Human Relations Commission, Walk-In-My Shoes High and Middle School Diversity Symposium and the National Boys and Girls Scouts of America Conference.
